Tomczyk has received The Outstanding Task Force Award by the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA). The recognition comes to those members who served on the Business Tax Restructuring Task Force, having spent the last 18 months monitoring, reviewing, and critiquing the various proposed Michigan business tax replacement plans, with direct input to the Michigan Legislature and the Michigan Department of Treasury.

Mr. Tomczyk has nearly 40 years of experience in dealing with state and local taxation, including substantial experience in indirect taxes, corporate taxes, and unclaimed property. He represents a wide variety of local and national clients in industries such as manufacturing, contracting, retail, general service, energy production, financial services, broadcasting, and Internet access. He has worked with large global companies, reviewing their state tax compliance procedures and developing opportunities for tax efficiency and minimization.
