Dallas, Texas -- Ryan, Inc., the leading tax services firm in North America, today announced a significant milestone in the continuing litigation between Brendan Moore and Associates Inc. (BMA) and Mr. Brendan Moore, its founder and former CEO. BMA had sought to restrict Mr. Moore from providing tax services to clients in the United States and Canada, based on restrictions in the company’s shareholders’ agreement. However, in a recent order, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice refused to restrict Mr. Moore from providing property tax services in Canada, and further refused to restrict Mr. Moore from providing any tax services in the United States.
As a result, Mr. Moore is free to provide a broad range of tax consulting and advisory services that includes sales and use tax in the United States and property tax consulting services in Canada as the CEO and Managing Principal of Ryan Property Tax Services ULC. BMA filed an appeal of the court order, but abandoned that appeal before it was ever heard.
