Roberto De Hoyos Joins Ryan as Principal in Credits and Incentives Practice

Dallas, Texas – Ryan, a leading global tax services firm with the largest indirect tax practice in North America, today announced that Roberto De Hoyos has joined the management team as Principal to support continued growth in the Firm’s Credits and Incentives practice. Mr. De Hoyos will be based in the Austin, Texas office.

Prior to joining Ryan, Mr. De Hoyos served as Deputy Executive Director for the Texas Governor’s Office of Economic Development and Tourism, overseeing all Economic Development Bank activities, with managing authority of hundreds of millions of dollars of funding during his tenure with the office. He also served as the Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF) Designee in the Office of Governor Rick Perry, advising the Texas Governor on investment allocations from the TEF that led to numerous successful investments for the state of Texas. The TEF is the largest business incentive fund of its kind in the nation, which under Mr. De Hoyos’s management, successfully helped in the generation of $3.2 billion in new capital investment and the creation of more than 13,000 jobs across Texas.

Mr. De Hoyos is a seasoned economic development and government relations professional, with more than 16 years of experience in policy analysis, government affairs, incentive negotiations, finance, strategic planning, international trade, importing and exporting, contract management, market research, purchasing, and sales. He has advised numerous growth companies on improved profitability through the structuring of economic development incentives that support job creation and business growth. Mr. De Hoyos earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Technological Institute of Piedras Negras in Coahuila, Mexico.
