Dallas, Texas – Ryan, a leading global tax services firm with the largest indirect tax practice in North America, today announced that Ryan Director Sharon Byram was elected to the Nevada Taxpayers Association (NTA) Board of Directors. Ms. Byram will serve a three-year term supporting the NTA’s goal of promoting sound policies, efficiency, accountability, and fiscal responsibility in the state of Nevada and local government. The NTA is a governmental research and advocacy association comprised of large and small businesses, individuals, and governmental entities. The Association assists its members in comprehending complex tax laws, reviewing the impact of governmental processes, and lobbying the Legislature.
Ms. Byram leads Ryan’s Net Proceeds Tax practice and has more than 22 years of tax experience in compliance, audit, appeal, negotiation, tax planning, litigation, regulatory, and legislative matters. She has in-depth expertise in all areas of sales and use tax, property tax, production, and other extraction taxes. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Nevada Bar Association, Institute for Professionals in Taxation, Nevada Taxpayers Association, Nevada Mining Association, and Northwest Mining Association.
