Dallas, Texas – Ryan, a leading global tax services firm with the largest indirect tax practice in North America, today announced the launch of a Latin American Business Center to support the Firm’s international expansion into Central and South America. Ryan’s Latin American Business Center will be based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and will direct the Firm’s delivery of value-added tax (VAT), international income tax, transfer pricing, and tax technology services to multinational clients operating throughout the region.
The Latin American Business Center will be led by Ryan Director Nelson E. Rincon, who will be responsible for providing specialized support for client engagements in Latin America and the Caribbean. Mr. Rincon will align U.S. and Latin American resources and partners to provide the highest level of client support and value, while establishing a center of tax excellence for sharing knowledge and best practices specific to the unique requirements of Latin American tax and finance executives.
Prior to joining Ryan, Mr. Rincon led the Latin American indirect tax practice of an international accounting firm, serving as the regional international tax leader for various Fortune 100 clients, as well as International Tax Managing Partner in its Caracas, Venezuela location. Prior to that, he was the CFO of the Brazilian subsidiary of a $1 billion multinational corporation. Over his 30-year career, Mr. Rincon has provided tax services resulting in improved profitability and shareholder value for dozens of global corporations operating in Latin America. He holds a Master of Science degree in Taxation from the University of Miami and a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Accounting from Universidad Santa María in Caracas, Venezuela.
