Dallas, Texas – Ryan, a leading global tax services firm with the largest indirect tax practice in North America, today announced that Grant Smith has been appointed Tax Technology Practice Leader. Mr. Smith will manage the continued revenue growth and international expansion of Ryan’s Tax Technology practice, which is one of the largest in the industry today. The Tax Technology practice is a critical growth engine for the Firm, and Mr. Smith will be accountable for driving additional market share, while maintaining world-class client service and strong EBITDA performance.
Mr. Smith is based in the Atlanta, Georgia office and has been instrumental in the development of Ryan’s Tax Technology practice and market leadership position. Since joining the Firm in May 2007, he has helped clients evaluate and enhance their current processes and systems to optimize the management of indirect taxes, delivering global corporations across North America and Europe outstanding value and prospective performance improvement through technology and automation. Mr. Smith is a frequent speaker at tax technology forums worldwide and is a member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT) and the Association for Computers and Taxation. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Colorado State University.
