Dayan has joined the management team as a Principal to support the continued growth of the Firm’s International Tax practice. Mr. Dayan will be based in Ryan’s Washington, D.C. office and joins an International Tax management team in the United States, Canada, and Europe, leading the Firm’s continued market penetration into more than 50 countries across the world. Mr. Dayan will extend Ryan’s income tax capabilities and provide global companies proven expertise and support in multiple international tax services, including tax planning, tax controversies, audits, and appeals.
Mr. Dayan has more than 35 years of international tax experience, managing issues across multiple industries for Fortune 500 multinational corporations. He has proven expertise in international tax matters, reportable transactions, and handling large case tax controversies with the Internal Revenue Service. Prior to joining Ryan, he was a Partner in the tax group of a Top 100 law firm, an Adjunct Professor of Tax Law at the Emory University School of Law, and previously served as a law clerk to Judge William Fay of the United States Tax Court. Mr. Dayan was recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® for Tax in 2011 and the four years immediately preceding. He is listed in the 2009 and 2010 editions of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business and was named a Georgia “Super Lawyer” in Tax Law by Super Lawyers magazine in 2010 and the four years preceding. Mr. Dayan was also recognized in The International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers 2009. He holds a Master of Laws in Taxation degree from New York University School of Law and a Juris Doctor degree from Emory University School of Law.
