Ryan Named as One of the 100 Best Workplaces for Millennials in the U.S. by FORTUNE

Press Release Jul 10, 2015

Dallas, Texas – After surveying nearly 90,000 millennials, Great Place to Work® and FORTUNE have recognized Ryan, a leading global tax firm, as one of the 100 Best Workplaces for Millennials in the country. Ryan earned a spot near the top of the list at number 22. This ranking comes from an anonymous survey of the Firm’s millennial employees administered by the workplace culture experts at Great Place to Work®.

“Attracting the next generation of tax professionals is key to maintaining Ryan’s client service leadership,” said G. Brint Ryan, Chairman and CEO of Ryan. “Ranking on Great Place to Work and FORTUNE's 100 Best Workplaces for Millennials validates our commitment to developing tomorrow’s top tax leaders.”

The driving force behind Ryan’s continued innovation and market leadership in tax is its commitment to attracting and retaining world-class professionals at all levels of their careers. The Firm has implemented a flexible work environment called myRyan, as well as policies and benefits that meet the expectations of millennials entering the work force, understanding that young professionals are critical to sustained growth and success well into the future. The myRyan work environment measures work performance based on results achieved, as opposed to hours worked. Since rolling out myRyan, the Firm has dramatically improved employee retention and satisfaction, consistently increased revenue growth, and achieved the highest client satisfaction ratings in company history.

“The company actually cares for its employees as individuals,” according to one employee quoted in the profile of Ryan in FORTUNE. “To be able to juggle your work and home life and actually make both run smoothly is a dream come true!”

In just ten years, millennials will make up 75% of the workforce. To compete for top talent and ensure their long-term success, businesses must prepare to appeal to and engage this unique generation of employees. Ryan and the 99 other winning companies were selected based on the evaluations of nearly 90,000 millennial-aged employees who were surveyed using the Trust Index©, Great Place to Work’s employee assessment survey.

“Companies focused on solid growth understand that it’s critical for senior leaders to have an in-depth understanding of all their employees’ experiences, regardless of their age, role in the organization, or any other demographic profile,” said Michael Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work® United States. “Great workplaces are constantly monitoring and analyzing their employees’ workplace experiences and then taking action to improve them. Ranking on this list is a great indicator that these companies’ efforts to create great workplaces are resonating with millennials.”
