Dallas, Texas – RyanSHARES, an inaugural Firm-wide day of service to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Ryan, a leading global tax services firm, resulted in a significant impact to those suffering from food insecurity around the world. On July 14, 2016, Ryan employees across the globe spent the day volunteering in local communities, cooking and serving meals to the homeless, and working in area food banks. This global day of giving back had a profound impact on local communities: nearly 1,000 volunteers came together from 57 Ryan offices and worked for a collective 3,068 hours of service to prepare 150,000 meals for individuals and families in need.

Throughout the years of giving and volunteering at Ryan, employees have always selected the causes their local offices support. In 2015, worldwide hunger relief rose to the forefront as the cause Ryan employees chose to award a substantial Firm contribution. This inaugural RyanSHARES day gave every employee the opportunity to volunteer in support of hunger relief.
To fully capture and illustrate the day’s worldwide impact, employees shared pictures and stories from their communities in real-time over Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, using the hashtag #RyanSHARES.
