European VAT News Podcast | July 2021 Highlights

VAT updates in July were dominated by the new e-commerce rules that came into effect on 1 July 2021 with Greece, Italy, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, and Spain adopting them. Other major updates were still largely focused around COVID-19, including postponements of VAT payment deadlines and reduced VAT rates and extensions of reduced VAT rates across a number of goods and services.
