Sam began working at Ryan in 2000 when his team of property tax consulting and compliance professionals joined forces with the Firm’s national Property Tax practice. Prior to joining Ryan, Sam was recognized as one of the most successful property tax consultants in the industry. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in real estate and urban development from the University of Tennessee.
Sam was a Principal in the Firm’s Property Tax practice for many years where he specialized in providing multistate property tax services in a variety of industries, with experience spanning more than 25 years. He served on the Board of Directors of the Texas Association of Property Tax Professionals (TAPTP) and was a Certified Member of the Institute (CMI) and Advance Academy Committee member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT). Sam appeared as a frequent speaker on property tax issues, speaking to numerous industry and professional organizations. He also received a Distinguished Service Award from IPT. Sam was a proud team member at Ryan and faithfully served our Property Tax practice with hard work and commitment. His dedication and commitment to his profession are irreplaceable, and he will be remembered by those who were privileged to know him.
