Hurricane Ida created the necessity for a secondary assessment review for damages and, as such, delayed the certification of the 2022 assessment rolls and tax bills. On January 7, 2022, the City of New Orleans Bureau of the Treasury announced that the 2022 tax bills will be available through the city’s online portal on or before February 1, 2022. Physical copies of the tax bills should be mailed shortly thereafter. This year’s deadline for tax payment has been extended one month to February 28, 2022.
