Dallas, Texas – Ryan, a leading global tax services firm, has hired Jeff Miller as Principal, Dispute Resolution, in the Firm’s recently formed Ryan Advocacy group. Mr. Miller will lead Ryan’s Advocacy and Legislative Affairs teams, comprised of individuals who have an average of more than 20 years of experience in government and tax services, and who have helped deliver huge wins for taxpayers around the country. Ryan Advocacy is a practice dedicated to resolving tax disputes expeditiously by assisting clients with controversy resolution and legislative services, as well as protecting the rights of taxpayers through honest and fair public policy. Mr. Miller will be based in Ryan’s Austin, Texas office.
Mr. Miller is a nationally respected public affairs professional, who has provided strategic counsel to leading political figures and Fortune 500 companies throughout the country. Prior to joining Ryan Advocacy, he was a partner at a leading public affairs company that specializes in government relations, political consulting, and procurement/incentives management. Formerly, he was a partner at one of the top five lobbying firms in California, where he was annually ranked as one of the 20 most influential people in California politics. Mr. Miller also recently served as the campaign manager for Governor Rick Perry’s presidential campaign and as political advisor for Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy. While working for one of the nation’s largest financial services companies, he was the senior vice president of government and industry affairs, responsible for assembling and leading a nationwide team of corporate and contract lobbyists, and managing company strategy on issues such as licensing, lending, tort reform, and other related issues.
